Michelle & Stan were married on a beautiful evening in July. They chose a simple do-it-yourself backyard wedding and it was perfect. The way the sun was setting behind the trees casting a golden glow around the ceremony site. The venue couldn't have been prettier. Nestled on a few acres in the little town of Willamina and a stream running right behind the couple as they said their I do's.
Michelle and Stan wanted to keep their wedding simple and true to them. They incorporated a few key pieces into their decor (the ceremony piece, the cake, and some of their furniture pieces including the cake stand and tree lights)
Michelle's mom told me that the boys (groom & groomsman) made the awesome ceremony piece the morning of the wedding. They went out, picked out some logs, and put it all together finishing with the antlers/skull in about an hour. Seems like a lot of talent within that group or maybe some beer motivation? Either way it turned out and was such a pivotal piece in their decor.
The band Michelle and Stan had was a husband and wife duo who sang several songs the couple requested prior to the wedding. I'm always such a fan of live bands/music for weddings vs a play list. I've noticed it livens the guests up and they tend to dance a little more or talk about the entertainment long after the wedding.
Getting ready was done inside the Victorian inspired home and one of the upstairs bedrooms. Stan started out with a haircut and buzz. A quick shower and getting dressed and he was good to go.
After getting dressed Stan and Michelle had their first look. In front of the house with all of the gorgeous flowers seemed to be one of the best spots.
Family formals and then the ceremony.....
It's official; they're now married. Congratulations to this amazing couple!
A huge thank you to Stan & Michelle & trusting me with capturing their wedding day. I wish them all the best in their new journey together.
