Deralyn and Nick are such a laid back couple and I enjoyed them and their wedding so much. They decided to get married overlooking the Yamhill River in Willamina, Oregon on the grounds of Navarra Gardens. Deralyn said they chose Navarra Gardens because it was so beautiful. The gardens were so lush and green, the ceremony site overlooking the river, the gorgeous florals, etc. Not having to decorate with florals or décor because the venue was already so beautiful was a huge plus.
Their wedding day was a gorgeous September day with some slightly overcast skies but overall phenomenal weather for Oregon in September.
Nick & Deralyn chose to have a very small and intimate ceremony with only their closest family members in attendance. In fact, there was 17 guests total who came and celebrated the marriage of these two.
Deralyn & Nick credit the lack of "good tv" for their meeting. They met on a dating website after Nick nudged or winked at Deralyn. Deralyn states there was nothing on tv and the lack of good content spurred her to reply to Nick. After chatting back and forth Nick told Deralyn, "you're so short!"
However, being Deralyn is about the same height as I am, I like to think we're just "fun sized." :)
Enjoy the photos of their wedding day.
Deralyn had pops of Tiffany blue in her décor, her details, and even her shoes! I absolutely LOVE Tiffany blue and it's one of my favorite colors. The way it photographs and how it looks when photographed makes me so happy. I don't see how anyone could look at this color and not love it.
Deralyn got ready in the bridal suite near the front of the gardens. It's a quaint little building with a bathroom, kitchen, and small living room area. It's perfect for a bride to get ready in. After getting ready, Deralyn opened her gift from Nick. The card made her a little teary eyed and she loved her gifts especially the water/hiking shoes. Nick and Deralyn love to do a lot of things outdoors and that mutual love has them going a lot of different places where those shoes will definitely come in handy. Great gift idea kudos to Nick!
Nick got ready in the men's building on the side of the property. His mom assisted him in getting his tie on and making sure everything looked just right before the ceremony started.
Nick & Deralyn didn't have a first look but Deralyn did have one with her father. Her father's expression when he saw her was the best.
And they did it~ the vows were beautiful, the scenery stunning, and the company they surrounded themselves with amazing.
The Sassy Onion provided food and beverages and the guests commented several times how wonderful everything was.
The end of their 3 hrs consisted of couple's portraits. I love how they wanted to get out in the canoe and tread the water. It made for some beautiful photos and they'll have such gorgeous scenery/portraits to look back on for years to come.
