Venue: Inn at Spanish Head
Where: Lincoln City, Oregon
Wedding Theme: Beach
A fantastic day for a wedding on the gorgeous Oregon Coast of Lincoln City. It rained most of the day, but when it came time for formals and couple's photos, the sun parted and allowed us a break from the rain long enough to get amazing portraits on the beach.
This couple was such a sweet couple and I thoroughly enjoyed their wedding and working with them.
From the bond between Kirstin and her bridesmaids to the interactions of Christian and his groomsman, from the sweet "first look" that happened behind the cover of a closed door, from Christian's raw emotional side during the reciting of vows, to Grandpa dancing at the reception, I loved each and every part of it.
The Inn at Spanish Head is a great venue to hold a wedding at. It's banquet rooms can hold a substantial amount of people should your wedding be during the winter- and they look out towards the ocean for an incredible view. You can also choose to have a beach side ceremony should the weather be appropriate. The guests at Christian and Kirstin's wedding all raved about the gorgeous wedding.
I arrived to the venue shortly after 1pm and headed to the suite which had the ladies. I started with a few details and then headed over to the guys as the ladies weren't quite ready enough to put their dresses on.
Kristin really wanted photos of Christian shaving as it is one of her favorite things to watch Christian do in the morning. I made sure I captured it for her so she could have them for her wedding album.
Now, time for the guys to start getting into their tuxes, vests, shoes, socks, and looking like the dapper men that they are.
After the men were done getting ready I headed back to the ladies to see if they were ready to get into their dresses. It was almost time for Kristin and Christian's "first look."
A quick prayer between Kirstin and her officiant and we then set her up for her "first look." She and Christian didn't want to see one another during their first look so they opted to hold hands and stand behind doors. This allowed them to tell one another the happenings of their day without Christian seeing Kirstin before walking down the aisle.
And, now, I think we're ready for the ceremony.

The signing of the marriage certificate came next.
Right after the signing of the marriage certificate the weather broke and we were able to use the beach for the formal photos and a few couple's portraits before the storm rolled back in.
After formals it was time to introduce the couple and get started on the reception filled with gluten free options for dinner. Everything looked amazing.
After guests finished dinner there was conversation and toasts.
And, finally the dessert! Let there be cake. I actually loved this cake Christian and Kirstin had made. It went with their theme perfectly but was beautiful and elegant. I especially loved the blueberries representing the pearls inside of a clam.
Time to party! Dancing to commence!
A huge congratulations to Kirstin and Christian. I wish them many years of happiness!
