As I was missing the ocean beaches of Hawaii and singing "Somewhere over the rainbow," I found this session of the Wilkersons that I forgot to blog. Jenn was a good friend of mine when I lived in Hawaii and luckily the military brought her and her lovely family into my life.
I flew to Hawaii and took their family portraits before they headed off on a new adventure the military would take them on.
I absolutely adore capturing emotion in my portraits. It takes you to the time and place you were at when the camera's shutter clicked. You shouldn't be remembering awkward fake smiles and cheeses at the camera. Rather, the fun you had at your session and how you barely even noticed the camera! These boys were all giggles when the tickle monster came out.
Their gorgeous sister has some of the most amazing curls on her head that I've ever seen. And, her dress! It was perfect for the gorgeous beach and sunset!
"I'm going to squeeze you and love you forever!" These two are the best of friends.
Little Skyler- such a ham for the camera. As soon as he saw it he would make silly faces for it. I think it may be because his momma is an amazing photographer.
No serious faces in these. Just smiles and goofiness.
I love photographing a couple's hands together. To me it symbolizes the bond that they have with one another. The way they hold the hands gently but secure, his under hers...
He may be getting bigger, but he'll always be her little boy. I just adore this little one's red hair. I may be a little biased as my husband has red hair, but it's adorable.
And, that gorgeous sunset. Hawaii never disappoints. Clear blue water, beautiful skies, the mountains. Beautiful Hawaii.
